Police are investigating multiple property and dangerous driving offences across Townsville today, May 12.
Officers were called to a car fire at Harold Phillips Park on Hugh Street, in Garbutt around 7.10am, involving an allegedly stolen Volkswagen sedan.
It will be alleged a motorcyclist arrived to assist but was then driven dangerously at by a group of people in two other stolen vehicles, a white Landcruiser Prado and white Mitsubishi Outlander.
The man took evasive action but sustained minor injuries, before the people in the two other cars drove off.
QPS deployed multiple resources including the police helicopter, Rapid Action Patrol, Tactical Crime Squad and general duties officers, to track the vehicles.
The Prado and Outlander were seen travelling in convoy and allegedly driving dangerously across multiple suburbs before tyre deflation devices were successfully deployed in Kirwan around 11am.
Within an hour, the group has then allegedly committed three attempted armed robberies with a knife on Hugh and Woolcock Street in Pimlico, and Elizabeth Street in Aitkenvale.
They then allegedly stole a while Hyundai i30 on Paskin Street, Vincent and fled in the vehicle.
Two women received non-life-threatening injuries during the incidents in Aitkenvale and Vincent.
Police have arrested a 13-year-old boy, and investigations remain ongoing into the remaining offenders.
