Property Recovered After Search Warrant At Bega

Police have recovered a significant amount of stolen property as part of an ongoing investigation into break and enter offences on the state's South Coast.

About 9am on Thursday 25 July 2024, police were called to an office building on Gipps Street, Bega, following reports of a break and enter.

On arrival, officers attached to South Coast Police District were told a car, TV, laptop computers, tablet devices, a coffee machine and grinder, EFTPOS machines, and many other items had been stolen from the location.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following extensive inquiries, about 6pm yesterday (Friday 26 July 2024) police executed a search warrant at an address on Norman Avenue, Bega, where a significant number of suspected stolen items – including the car and many other items taken from the Gipps Street address – were recovered.
