A protest at a Strathalbyn abbatoir has concluded this afternoon, according to SA Police.
Police were called about 6am on Friday 21 September by reports of people trespassing on the Ashbourne Road, Strathalbyn property.
Protesters climbed on the roof of the abbatoir and remained there throughout the day.
Following negotiations between management and the protest group, a lamb was handed over to the protesters, who subsequently climbed down from the roof.
Police reported twenty-three of the protesters for criminal trespass. They will be summonsed to appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court at a later date.
