Mitchell Shire Council is undertaking a comprehensive community consultation to gather input for the upcoming Council Plan and Health and Wellbeing Plan for the years 2025-2029.
Residents and business owners are encouraged to participate in a series of engagement activities, including online surveys, written submissions, face-to-face discussions at community pop-up sessions, and creative feedback initiatives.
The consultation is designed to ensure Council's direction aligns with the aspirations of the community, informed by the themes of the Community Vision Mitchell 2050. This includes focusing on vibrant community life, sustainable environments, accessible services, and more.
Community feedback will also be considered in developing Council's Financial and Asset Plans.
"This is a vital opportunity for the people of Mitchell Shire to voice their ideas, concerns, and visions for the future," Mitchell Shire Council CEO Brett Luxford said.
"We are committed to transparency and inclusivity in all aspects of governance, and your input is crucial as we plan for a resilient and thriving community,"
Council is especially keen to understand residents' priorities and any emerging health and wellbeing concerns that need to be addressed in the upcoming plans.
"Each voice in our community is important, and every feedback counts. These plans will guide our actions for the next four years and beyond, shaping the quality of life and the services we provide. We urge everyone to take part and help us tailor our strategies to better meet the needs of all residents," Mr Luxford said.
