Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act at Beaconsfield, in relation to a police incident this afternoon, February 18.
Emergency services were called just after 1.15pm to a Pandanus Street address in relation to a mental health related incident, and a man making threats.
An exclusion zone has been established while police respond, encompassing Pandanus Street, Nandina Street and Shiral Drive.
Police believe there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Residents within the exclusion zone are asked to stay indoors and members of the public to avoid the area, to allow police operations to continue safely.
