PSPA Emergency Declaration Declaration, Crestmead

Police have declared an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in Crestmead this evening, October 18, following reports of an armed person at a property on Whiteman Street.

An emergency declaration was declared just before 9pm and an exclusion zone has been established with boundaries encompassing Chambers Flat Road, Waratah Drive and Augusta Street. The exclusion zone includes Crestmead park.

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and those within the exclusion zone are asked to remain indoors until further notice.
