PSPA Emergency Declaration Declared At Hervey Bay

Police have declared an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in Urangan this evening.

Police were called to an address on Boat Harbour Drive around 12pm following reports of a disturbance.

A man was located armed with a knife and was making threats.

A PSPA was subsequently declared around 6.30pm and has an exclusion zone encompassing Boat Harbour Drive, Lavell Street, Hammond Street and Toni Street.

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area.
