PSPA Emergency Declaration Revoked in Loganlea

Update: The earlier emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act has been revoked.

The Logan Motorway is still down to one lane at the incident location, however, there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Earlier: Police have declared an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) on the Logan Motorway near Kingston and Loganlea this evening.

Police were called to the Logan Motorway near Kingston Road around 8.15pm following reports of a two-vehicle traffic crash involving a b-double.

A PSPA was subsequently declared due to hazardous smoke and has an exclusion zone along a stretch of the Logan Motorway that encompasses Wembley Road off ramp and on ramp, Station Road, Logan Motorway on ramp and Kingston Road.

Diversions are in place eastbound on the Logan Motorway and westbound lanes are now open.

Motorists and members of the public are advised to avoid the area, and those within the exclusion zone are asked to remain indoors and close their windows until further notice.
