Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) at Tallebudgera Valley, following a police incident this afternoon.
Police were called at midday to Tallebudgera Creek Road, following reports a man had been shot.
The man suffered a non-life-threatening injury to his shoulder and head and was transported to hospital for treatment.
The persons involved are believed to be known each other.
Police investigations are underway in the area.
As a result, police have made an emergency declaration, with an exclusion zone encompassing Tallebudgera Creek Road to the west, Emily Lane to the north, and Petsche Creek Road to the east and Ryans Road to the south.
Residents are asked to stay inside their dwellings, and members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
