Police have revoked an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in relation to an armed man at Garbutt.
The declaration was revoked at 8.55am after the man exited a residence on Lonnerganne Street and was taken into custody without further incident.
The PSPA was invoked at 8.08am after the man was seen in a vehicle allegedly holding a firearm before attending the Lonerganne Street address.
Police immediately established a cordon and the man was contained within the premises.
The man peacefully surrendered to officers at 8.48am.
The cordon encompassing Lonerganne Street has now been lifted.
