NSW Health is aware of recently confirmed cases of COVID-19 isolating in these catchments. However, we urge everyone in and around these areas to be vigilant for any symptoms that could signal COVID, such as cough, sore throat, runny nose or fever. If they appear, please get tested and self-isolate immediately.
The latest sewage detections are in addition to those announced earlier today in the Ireland Park, West Camden, Cronulla and Bourke catchments.
As announced this morning, following updated health advice to prevent further transmission of COVID-19, stay-at-home orders are being introduced for at least one week for those people whose usual place of residence, work or tertiary study is in Woollahra, Waverley, Randwick and City of Sydney local government areas.
Due to the risk associated with an increasing number of exposure venues where transmission has occurred, from 11.59pm tonight until at least 11.59pm on Friday 2 July, residents of, or people whose usual place of work is in, the four LGAs must stay at home unless it is for an essential reason.
Anyone with even the mildest of cold-like symptoms is urged to immediately come forward for testing and isolate until a negative result is received.
There are more than 300 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW, many of which are open seven days a week. To find your nearest clinic visit COVID-19 testing clinics or contact your GP.
