Public health restrictions extended: Casey

The lockdown for metropolitan Melbourne has been extended for a further seven days starting from 11.59 pm on Thursday 3 June.

This means there are still only five reasons to leave your home: shopping for necessary goods; caregiving or compassionate reasons; for authorised work or education; exercise for up to two-hours per day; and to receive a vaccination.

The five-kilometre radius for exercise and shopping has now been extended to 10 kilometres. If there are no shops in your 10 km radius, you'll be able to travel to the ones closest to you. Only one person per household, once per day may go shopping.

Face masks will also need to be worn inside and outdoors - everywhere except your own home.

As part of this lockdown, the City of Casey Customer Service counters at Bunjil Place and Cranbourne will remain closed, as will the broader Bunjil Place precinct. You can still contact us via phone from Monday to Friday between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm, or by using the live-chat on our website www.casey.vic.gov.au
