Ipswich police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) due to an ongoing incident encompassing Blacksoil and surrounds.
The PSPA was declared just after 2am following a single vehicle rollover of a truck carrying gas bottles which began leaking, closing the Warrego Highway in both directions between Brisbane Valley Highway and Pine Mountain Road.
Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and those nearby the exclusion zone, including Blacksoil, Brassall and Pine Mountain are asked to remain indoors until further notice and close doors and windows as a precaution.
