Pump Track construction enters next stage

Drive by the West Kempsey Pump Track and onlookers will see a convoy of smiles looping their way around the track as stage 1 of the project nears completion.

Stage 1 will wrap up next week with the installation of a water bottle fill station and bins. From here, the project will enter its second stage of construction, which will see the community come together to landscape the surrounding area using native plants and applying Dunghutti/Thunghutti cultural elements.

While the track itself is complete and residents of all ages are enjoying the adrenalin and excitement it entails, there are still some intended fixtures that need some community love.

The West Kempsey Pump Track committee is still seeking sponsorship for seating and shade shelters, which will truly make this community space a comfortable and great family outing.

The committee would also like to deliver a big thank you to the generous sponsors that are helping make this project happen, including gold sponsors Echo Voice and Data and Mid North Coast Local Health District and silver sponsor and Community Housing Ltd.
