Police have arrested a man after a vehicle involved in a series of evade offences across Mackay was located today.
It will be alleged an off-duty police officer saw the man driving a blue Commodore sedan, bearing stolen number plates, at 11.30am in the Shoal Point area.
The vehicle is alleged to have been involved in a number of evade offences.
Police conducted patrols along Shoal Point Road and attempted to intercept the vehicle, which continued to evade police.
Shortly before midday police deployed a tyre deflation device to disable the vehicle.
Police entered into a pursuit until the vehicle came to a stop on Mackay-Bucasia Road, Beaconsfield as a result of damage it had sustained.
The man was taken into custody after the deployment of a taser.
A 29-year-old South Mackay man has been charged with multiple driving, drug, and property related offences.
He will appear before the Mackay Magistrates Court on May 21.
