Putting Women's Health In Spotlight This September

To celebrate Women's Health Week, we're inviting women across Boroondara to join us at free events that inspire healthy habits for both body and mind.

Women's Health Week, 2 to 6 September, is a nationwide campaign led by Jean Hailes. It is Australia's largest event dedicated to the health and wellbeing of all women, girls and gender-diverse people.

Get active, try a new activity and learn some tips to help prioritise your health and wellbeing.

Women of all ages are invited to join 3 free activities good for both body and mind:

  • Tai Chi in the park - Monday 2 September, 11 am at Victoria Park in Kew
  • Understanding our body's stress response (a Boroondara Wellbeing conversation) - Thursday 5 September, 7 pm at Hawthorn Library (bookings opening soon)
  • Women's Strength training workshop - Friday 6 September, 11:30 am at Balwyn Library.

Boroondara Youth is also hosting 2 free events for women aged 16 to 25:

  • A free spin class - Tuesday 3 September, 4:30 pm at Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre
  • A free nutrition class - Thursday 5 September, 4 pm at Boroondara Youth Hub.
