To celebrate Women's Health Week, we're inviting women across Boroondara to join us at free events that inspire healthy habits for both body and mind.
Women's Health Week, 2 to 6 September, is a nationwide campaign led by Jean Hailes. It is Australia's largest event dedicated to the health and wellbeing of all women, girls and gender-diverse people.
Get active, try a new activity and learn some tips to help prioritise your health and wellbeing.
Women of all ages are invited to join 3 free activities good for both body and mind:
- Tai Chi in the park - Monday 2 September, 11 am at Victoria Park in Kew
- Understanding our body's stress response (a Boroondara Wellbeing conversation) - Thursday 5 September, 7 pm at Hawthorn Library (bookings opening soon)
- Women's Strength training workshop - Friday 6 September, 11:30 am at Balwyn Library.
Boroondara Youth is also hosting 2 free events for women aged 16 to 25:
- A free spin class - Tuesday 3 September, 4:30 pm at Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre
- A free nutrition class - Thursday 5 September, 4 pm at Boroondara Youth Hub.
