This year, I was pleased to welcome Qatar's designation into the Visa Waiver Program, the culmination of a process that will create a safer and easier travel experience for the citizens of both of our nations. Our robust educational, tourism, economic, and cultural exchanges enrich both of our countries and create strong personal relationships. We welcome the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani as Qatar mediates regional conflicts and tirelessly works to reunite families and build long-lasting peace. We are proud to call Qatar our friend and work alongside them in these endeavors.
