A Bongaree man on Bribie Island is celebrating a life-changing windfall after winning a division one prize in Saturday Lotto, securing a $2.9 million share from the $20 million superdraw top prize.
The Queenslander man held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4451 on Saturday 16 March 2024. Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4451 – three in New South Wales, two in Victoria, and one each in Queensland and South Australia.
The win holds significant meaning for the man, who has consistently played the same numbers for nearly 30 years.
“Woah, woah! This is absolutely amazing!” the winning man said when an official from The Lott called to confirm his windfall.
“I’ve been using these numbers for almost three decades. They’re just so special to me for so many reasons.
“I’m also sure someone must be watching over me from above.
“I’ll be straight into the renovations at my home! Thankfully, I’ll be able to pay someone to do them now, and I won’t have to.
“First phone call is to my children. They’ll be stoked to know some of it is coming their way and they can set themselves up for the future.".
