A Queensland mum is still reeling from her life-changing win in the latest Saturday Gold Lotto, securing a share of the $5 million Division One prize.
This unusual draw saw a high number of participants perfectly match all six numbers, slicing the substantial jackpot into thirteen equal parts. Alongside twelve other winners nationwide, she claimed $401,209.07 from draw 4509 on Saturday, 5 October 2024.
The lucky mum from Mackay discovered her fortune on a Sunday morning, leading to a mix of shock and excitement.
“I still don’t believe it!” she cried when speaking to a lotto official.
“I’m shaking! It was a shock for me.
“It’s a good shock though!
“I’ve been playing these numbers for a long time – they’re family birthdates.
“When I checked my ticket just before, I screamed. My daughter came running to see what was wrong.My daughter has been telling me to breathe.
“This is going to help pay the bills and mortgage. It’s unbelievable.”
