- Leading electrical engineering manufacturer NOJA Power named Queensland Exporter of the Year.
- The company took the top award after also winning the Sustainability and Green Economy Category at the Premier of Queensland's Export Awards 2024.
- 46 finalists across 15 categories contested the awards.
- Winners of national categories will progress to represent Queensland at the distinguished Australian Export Awards.
NOJA Power has been named Queensland Exporter of the Year at the Premier of Queensland's Export Awards 2024.
Winners of the 13 national categories were in the running for the top award announced tonight with two Queensland-only awards also presented.
Exporting since 2002, NOJA Power is based at Murarrie and designs, manufactures and sells switching equipment to protect and control the electricity distribution grid.
Their Queensland-made products are used to safely and efficiently operate electricity networks in 106 countries.
NOJA Power won the award after earlier taking out the Sustainability and Green Economy category.
Premier Steven Miles and Deputy Premier, Treasurer and Minister for Trade and Investment Cameron Dick announced the winners tonight at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre,
Now in their 34th year, the Export Awards recognise Queensland businesses for their innovation, resilience and determination as they strive to grow and expand their global footprint.
Queensland was the first state in Australia to introduce a First Nations category in 2023 and continues to recognise Women in International Business in a dedicated category.
Sobah Beverages, maker of non-alcoholic craft beer, took out the First Nations category while Dr Tracey Seipel, CEO, Seipel Group was awarded the Women in International Business category.
The 13 national category winners will now represent Queensland at the Australian Export Awards, hosted by Austrade, on 20 November in Canberra.
