- More than 3,790 homes to be fast-tracked with another 33 projects receive funding under Miles Government $350 million fund

Thirty-three projects will receive funding through the Miles Government's IIDF, getting shovels in the ground sooner on thousands more homes.
The fund – part of the Miles Government's Homes for Queenslanders plan – covers the cost of essential infrastructure like water, roads and sewerage, as well as development application fees for well-located homes.
By covering known infrastructure costs for councils and applicants, it also prevents these costs being passed on to homebuyers, promoting housing choice and improving affordability.
The projects will be located across Brisbane, Moreton Bay, and the Fraser, Sunshine and Gold coasts, sharing in $85 million.
Recently, the government announced 80 projects to receive payment through fund, bringing 3,670 homes forward.
The fund is the result of feedback from industry and local governments on how to bring forward development proposals while ensuring that local councils remain funded for critical infrastructure to support necessary growth.
It joins a number of initiatives under the Homes for Queenslanders plan to unlock more homes in well located areas faster, including the State-Facilitated Development Pathway.
Housing Minister Meaghan Scanlon recently announced the first two projects to go through the fast-track development pathway: a 2,750-home development in Robina with 550 affordable homes, as well as a 45-home project in Wakerley.
As stated by Housing Minister Meaghan Scanlon:
"Industry told us they could help build homes faster, they just needed that extra support to get them shovel-ready. So that's what we've done.
"In the first two tranches, we were able to bring more than 3,700 homes forward and today we're bringing forward another 3,700-plus.
"Queenslanders are seeing us do what matters – building the homes we need, faster - while the LNP continue to rail against homes being built in their own backyards.
"The contrast couldn't be clearer: a Miles Government supporting industry to build more homes, faster and an LNP hellbent on opposing anything that'll get more homes up off the ground. Queenslanders, councils, builders and industry just cannot risk the LNP this October."
