A Redlands man's Monday morning began with a phone call that transformed his life when he learnt he was one of eight winners in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4449, securing a life-changing slice of the $5 million jackpot.
The Queenslander held one of the eight division one entries on Saturday 9 March 2024, bagging a $620,369.07 share.
“I can’t believe this!” the winning man gasped when an official from The Lott called him to relay the winning news.
“I’ve had a lot of troubles in my life lately and it’s been difficult to push through.
“This is going to change everything!
“I always hoped you’d call. Every time the phone rang on a Monday morning, I thought, ‘this could be it’.
“This morning, I didn’t even think about it! How amazing is that!
“I’ll be house hunting before you know it mate! It’s long been a goal I wanted to tick and this just makes it possible.
“Thank you so much, I’m over the moon.”
His marked ticket was a 4-game entry purchased from the official provider.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4449 on 9 March 2024 were 11, 25, 17, 3, 2 and 31, while the supplementary numbers were 15 and 24.
