A 30-year-old male senior constable from the Far North Region has been served with a notice to appear in relation to allegedly driving a motor vehicle whilst under the influence of a prescription drug.
The officer was off duty at the time.
He has been stood down from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear before Hughenden Magistrates Court on September 10 for one count of driving a motor vehicle whilst under the influence of liquor or a drug.
