Queensland Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a 77-year-old man reported missing from Broadbeach Waters this evening.
Weiqi Liu was last seen on Cypress Drive before 8:30pm and has not been heard from since.
Police and family are concerned for his welfare due to him having a medical condition that may make him disorientated, as well as the disappearance being considered out of character.
Weiqi is described as Chinese in appearance, with a proportionate build, dark eyes, and grey/brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, cream shorts, and leather sandals.
Investigators believe he may be travelling on foot or utilising public transport.
Police appeal to Weiqi, or anyone with information regarding his whereabouts, to come forward.
