Queensland Police Probe Attempted Armed Robbery in Cleveland

Detectives from the Bayside Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are appealing for public assistance following an attempted armed robbery in Cleveland yesterday, May 29.

Around 5:20pm, a man entered a Queen Street facility, before demanding cash and threatening the employee with an unknown weapon.

The man pushed the woman to the ground and left the scene emptyhanded.

The employee sustained minor injuries and was taken to Redland Hospital for treatment.

The man is described as a young male, Caucasian, and was wearing dark clothing including a black hoodie.

Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with vision from Wynyard Street near Michelle Court between 5:10pm and 5:30pm, to come forward.
