Queensland Police Probes Serious Assault at Kangaroo Point

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man who may be able to assist with investigations following an assault at Kangaroo Point yesterday, May 14.

Initial investigations indicate around 4.45pm, a 60-year-old Nundah man was stopped at traffic lights travelling north on Leopard Street, Kangaroo Point, when his vehicle, a silver Holden Commodore sedan, had its side mirror struck by a white moped.

A verbal exchange has then occurred between the two parties, before both turned right onto Llewellyn Street where they came to a stop.

There has then been a physical altercation between the driver of the sedan and the moped driver, resulting in the victim sustaining multiple injuries, including to his head, face and hand.

The moped driver is described as tall, slim build, wearing a hi-visibility shirt and a black open-faced helmet.

Nearby residents are urged to review their CCTV, and motorists are also urged to check their dashcam footage for any relevant vision.
