Queensland Police Service Showcases Diverse Careers

On July 15, the Queensland Police Service (QPS) will open its doors to the Bob Atkinson Operational Capability Centre in Wacol, Brisbane and Townsville Police Academy to showcase the many paths available to prospective recruits.

As the QPS embarks on its largest ever police recruitment campaign, the major open day event will allow members of the public to get a rare glimpse of life as an officer and the skills required to serve on the frontline.

Officers and specialist units including Dog Squad, Road Policing and Regional Support Command, Dive Squad and Water Police will be onsite providing demonstrations and information to attendees, as well as conducting free obstacle courses and physical testing.

When: Saturday, July 15, 9am - 2pm
