- The 180MW Dulacca Wind Farm wind farm project is now officially connected.
- Construction of the wind farm's 43 turbines is now complete, and the project is entering the testing and commissioning phase.
- At full capacity, the Dulacca Wind Farm will generate enough renewable energy to power more than 54,000 Queensland homes.
The Palaszczuk Government's Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan has received another jolt of cheap, clean, and reliable renewable energy with the energisation of the 180MW Dulacca Wind Farm in the Western Downs.
The project is home to Australia's tallest wind turbines, standing at 230m in height, 100m taller than the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
This milestone comes just days after the last solar panel was installed at the Western Downs Green Power Hub in the Southern Renewable Energy Zone only 100km away.
Quotes attributable to the Minister for Energy, Renewables and Hydrogen:
"Queensland's Southern Renewable Energy Zone is attracting thousands of workers to build the biggest wind farms in the nation as we power towards 70% renewables by 2032.
"Via the Queensland SuperGrid, this 180MW of cheap, clean, and reliable wind power will charge up the homes, businesses and industries of Southeast Queensland.
