A Plainland man is celebrating an Easter weekend he won't soon forget after winning a life-changing slice of the $5 million top prize in the Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Queenslander held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4455 on Saturday 30 March 2024. with each division one winning entry scored $848,230.70.
“It’s a bit of a shock!” the winning man exclaimed when an official from The Lott revealed his windfall yesterday.
“I’m starting to shake!
“This will be so good. I would love to get a home for myself so I can enjoy my retirement.
“I’ve been playing for years and buying tickets for the past 30 years.
“This year, I haven’t won a prize at all… and now this! This is really, really good!
“I’m so grateful!
The man’s 24-game QuickPick entry was purchased at newsXpress Plainland, Shop 6, Plainlands Plaza, Gherke Road, Plainland.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4455 on 30 March 2024 were 44, 42, 43, 15, 12 and 9, while the supplementary numbers were 18 and 36.
Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4455 – four in Victoria and one each in Queensland and New South Wales.
