QYAC Unveils New Executive Leadership Team

The Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC)

The Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC) has announced a change to its Executive Team after the tenure of Chief Executive (CEO) Officer Stephen Wright concluded.

Mr Wright has been with QYAC for almost two-years and we thank him for his contributions.

An open recruitment process will soon commence for a new CEO and in the interim, QYAC has appointed experienced lawyer, Executive and Non-Executive Director Ms Kate Healy, as Acting CEO for the transition period.

Ms Healy has extensive Indigenous economic development experience as CEO of Maori organisations, commercial lawyer with Minter Ellison and Directorships on the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation and Community Spirit Foundation (Cathy Freeman Foundation).

To ensure a smooth transition, the Board has approved Chair Cameron Costello, (a former CEO of QYAC) to lead a Transition Team with Ms Healy and Mike Fordham (Chair, QYAC Finance, Audit and Risk Committee), whilst the recruitment of the new CEO is underway.

Mr Costello said: "I look forward to supporting Kate, Mike and the Transition team during this period, so we can quickly maintain consistency and stability across the organisation and continue to drive our Strategic Plan to achieve the best cultural, environmental and economic outcomes for the Quandamooka people and the wider community."
