RACV is pleased to announce the upgrade of its electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure at its Ballarat site is now complete.

The Ballarat charging location, situated at 61 Curtis Street, now features two new 50-kilowatt and two new 350-kilowatt direct-current charging stations, providing a more efficient and reliable service for EV drivers.

The Ballarat upgrades are the first completed of a planned seven sites, as part of RACV's broader initiative to improve RACV's EV charging network across Victoria, due for completion by the end of the year.

The RACV EV charging locations due for upgrades following the Ballarat work includes sites at Euroa, Barnawartha North, Airport West, Horsham and Moe, as well as at RACV's Victorian Resorts and Club locations.

RACV General Manager Energy Services Greg Edye said that RACV is committed to ensuring that the new electric vehicle charging infrastructure meets the high standards its members and customers expect.

"The upgrades will not only provide a faster, more reliable charging experience, but also enhance the security of the site," Mr Edye said.

RACV acknowledges the inconvenience caused by the recent unavailability of the Ballarat chargers and thanks drivers for their patience. The chargers had been offline due to various technical issues, including vandalism, which has prompted the installation of additional security measures, such as CCTV.
