A Railton youth has had his vehicle clamped for 28 days and will appear before the Court after he was detected speeding more than 50km/h above the limit earlier this week.
Around 9pm Monday night, Latrobe Police detected a 17-year-old – who was the holder of a Novice P1 licence – travelling at 151km/h in a 100km/h zone on Railton Road.
The youth had his vehicle clamped for a period of 28 days and has been summonsed to appear at the Devonport Court at a later date.
Sergeant Jeremy Williams from Latrobe Police states, "Police would like to remind the community that we are committed to keeping our roads safe for all road users."
