Raptor Squad Charges Inner West Brotherhood Leader

Raptor Squad officers have charged the alleged founding member of the 'Inner West Brotherhood' gang for allegedly importing over $6 million worth of methylamphetamine to Sydney.

In June 2024, officers attached to State Crime Command's Raptor Squad under Strike Force Allister – with assistance from Australian Border Force Border Intelligence – launched an investigation into the importation and supply of methylamphetamine to Sydney by organised crime networks.

During the investigation, strike force officers located evidence to support 21kg of methylamphetamine had been imported into NSW by a member of a Sydney gang.

Following further extensive investigations, strike force officers arrested a 33-year-old man in a car in Condell Park at about 5am yesterday (Thursday 19 September 2024).

He was taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged with import commercial quantity of border-controlled drug.

The man was refused bail to appear before Bankstown Local Court the same day.

Police will allege in court the man was a founding member of the 'Inner West Brotherhood' gang and facilitated the import of the prohibited drugs from a Central American country.

Investigations under Strike Force Allister continue.
