Raptor Squad have charged a third man following an investigation into the ongoing supply of firearms and illicit drugs in the state's south-east.
Strike Force Heard was established in January 2025 by State Crime Command's Raptor Squad South to investigate the manufacture and supply of Privately Manufactured Firearms (PMFs) and illicit drugs within the Illawarra region.
Two men were charged yesterday (Tuesday 1 April 2025), and now remain before the courts.
In Queensland, with assistance of Queensland Police Task Force Maxima, officers arrested a 43-year-old in Burleigh Beach.
He was taken to Southport Watch House, before Raptor Squad detectives applied for, and were granted, the man's extradition to NSW in Southport Magistrates Court.
The man was conveyed to Tweed Heads Police Station, where he was charged with 14 offences relating to the supply of drugs and firearms and participating in a criminal group.
He was refused bail to appear in Lismore Local Court today (Wednesday 2 April 2025).
