Raptor Squad officers have charged a man and seized six firearms, ammunition and nunchaku during a search in Horsley Park this week.
About 10.40am Tuesday 8 October 2024, officers attached to State Crime Command's Raptor Squad attended a home on Ferrers Road, Horsley Park, to conduct a firearm prohibition order (FPO) compliance search.
During a search of the home Raptor Squad officers located and seized a shortened double-barrel shotgun, three pistols, two muskets, nunchakus, ammunition, 11kg of cannabis, 30g of methamphetamine, cocaine, $2350 cash and electronic devices.
Following the search, police arrested a 47-year-old man before taking him to Fairfield Police Station.
The man was charged with deal with property proceeds of crime less than $100,000, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, possess unregistered firearm not pistol/prohibited firearm, possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority, not keep firearm safely not pistol/prohibited firearm, supply prohibited drug, supply prohibited plant, supply cannabis, and three counts of possess prohibited drug.
The man was refused bail to appear before Fairfield Local Court yesterday (Wednesday 9 October 2024) where he was refused bail further to reappear before the same court on Wednesday 20 November 2024.
Investigations are continuing.
