Raptor Squad officers have charged nine people following an investigation into the alleged criminality of a western Sydney drill group under Strike Force Cipolin.
Strike Force Cipolin was established in December 2024 by State Crime Command's Raptor Squad to investigate the drug and firearm supply of members and associates of a drill group hailing from Sydney's west.
Prior to yesterday, police had seized five firearms and more than 800 grams of methylamphetamine as part of investigations into the group.
Following further extensive inquiries, from about 2pm yesterday (Tuesday 1 April 2025), strike force detectives – with assistance from the Public Order and Riot Squad, North West and South West Metropolitan Regions Operational Support Groups, and Penrith Region Enforcement Squad – executed 11 search warrants across Sydney's west.
During the warrants, police located and seized a further six firearms, several hundred rounds of ammunition, $43,000 in cash, numerous DECCDs, a taser, 3kg of cocaine, 2.6kg of methylamphetamine, 644 grams of cannabis, and 126 grams of MDMA.
In South Penrith, police arrested a 25-year-old man. He was taken to Penrith Police Station, where he was charged with 23 offences total relating to the supply of drugs and firearms, and knowingly direct activities of criminal group. He was refused bail to appear in Penrith Local Court today (Wednesday 2 April 2025).
In Cloyton, police arrested a 25-year-old man. He was taken to Penrith Police Station, where he was charged with 15 offences relating to the supply and possession of drugs and firearms, as well as participating in a criminal group. He was refused bail to appear in Penrith Local Court today.
During a warrant in St Marys, police arrested two men, aged 27 and 39. The younger man was taken to Penrith Police Station, where he was charged with four drug supply and possession related offences, recklessly deal with proceeds of crime >$5000, and breach of bail. He was refused bail to appear in Penrith Local Court today.
The older man was taken to Springwood Police Station, where he was charged with supply prohibited drug >indictable &
In Blackett, police arrested a 27-year-old man. He was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station, where he was charged with 17 offences relating to the supply and possession of drugs and firearms, as well as participating in a criminal group. He was refused bail to appear in Mt Druitt Local Court today.
During a warrant in Oxley Park, police arrested a 22-year-old woman and 27-year-old man. They were taken to Penrith Police Station, where the woman was charged with knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, supply prohibited drug >= large commercial quantity, and participate criminal group contribute criminal. She was refused bail to appear in Penrith Local Court today.
The 27-year-old man was charged with eight offences relating to drug supply, possession of ammunition, deal with property proceeds of crime < $100000 & < $5000 and participate in a criminal group. He was refused bail to appear in Penrith Local Court today.
In Cloyton, strike force officers arrested a 30-year-old man. He was taken to St Marys, where he was charged with supply prohibited firearm to unauthorised person, supply, give ammunition to person not authorised etc and participate in a criminal group. He was refused bail to appear in Penrith Local Court today.
In Rooty Hill, police arrested a 28-year-old woman. She was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station, where she was charged with nine offences relating to the supply of drugs and firearms, and participating in a criminal group. The woman was refused bail to appear in Mt Druitt Local Court today.
