A geo-targeted sms has been issued as police re-appeal for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Sydney's west.

Sue Pedersen, aged 53, was last seen leaving her home on Arthur Street, Granville, about 2pm last Friday (19 August 2022).

When she failed to return home, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police have since established, Sue attended the St George bank at Stockland's Mall, Merrylands, about 10.45am on Saturday (20 August 2022); however, has not been seen or heard from since.

Family and police hold serious concerns for Sue's welfare as she lives with multiple medical conditions that require daily medication and her disappearance is out of character.

Sue is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 155cm tall, of slim build with short dark blonde hair and green/blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing a green trench coat with a fur-lined hood, maroon pants, black sneakers and was carrying a blue backpack.

Police believe Sue may still be in the Merrylands area or may have travelled to Wollongong where she previously lived.

Anyone with information about Sue's whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
