Re-appeal To Locate Woman Missing From Sydney's West 6 August

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Sydney's west.

Laite Tairewa, aged 46, was last seen on Smythe Street, Merrylands, about 1.45pm on Monday 15 July 2024.

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for her welfare as her disappearance is out of character.

Laite is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 165cm tall with large build, short black hair, a small tattoo on her right forearm and a half gold front tooth.

She was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket, black jeans, and white runners.

Laite is known to frequent the Fairfield, Blacktown and Merrylands areas.

Anyone with information into her whereabouts is urged to call Cumberland police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
