Reappointments To Classification Review Board

The Albanese Government has reappointed the Convenor, Deputy Convenor and four members of the Classification Review Board until 5 December 2025.

The Classification Review Board is an independent statutory body established by the Classification (Publications, Films and Computer Games) Act 1995, and meets as needed when an application for review of a decision by the Classification Board has been lodged.

The appointees are:

  • Ms Susan Bush (Convenor) has a background in film, broadcasting, media and publishing and holds Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts (Communications and Media Studies).
  • Mr Adam Davy (Deputy Convenor) is Head of English at a Queensland school. He holds a double degree in Arts and Education and an Honours degree in Psychology.
  • Ms Rechelle Leahy (Member) is the CEO and founder of RegionalCollab (a project development and management consultancy for regional and rural Australia) and has a contractor role as an employment facilitator with the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
  • Mr David Toll (Member) is the owner and director of a mediation company and an experienced senior leader in higher education, emergency services and sports management. He also has prior experience in the police force, with qualifications in law and business administration.
  • Ms Stephanie McCaughey (Member) is an accredited mediator with a background in criminology and victimology, including developing and leading organisations through the Royal Commissions into Institutional Child Sexual Abuse and Mental Health Care in Victoria.
  • Mr Damien Power (Member) has experience in classification and has written interactive online games for the Australian Communications and Media Authority and the Office of the eSafety Commissioner. He is also a film director and is actively involved in his local community through volunteering.
