Residents from Red Cliffs and surrounding towns have an opportunity to shape their area's future by contributing to their new Community Plan.
Each of our municipality's townships have their own Community Plan, which serve as roadmaps for their future, reflecting local residents' priorities, aspirations and changing needs.
Work is already well underway on the Red Cliffs and District Community Plan 2023-2028, but input from local residents and businesses is the vital component needed.
Led by Mildura Rural City Council and the Red Cliffs Community Planning Advisory Committee, the community planning process is a powerful way for local residents to shape the town in which they live, work and play.
"No one knows our small towns better than the residents who call them home, which is why their feedback is so important in the development of Community Plans," Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Community Development Helen Healy said.
"This is very much a grass-roots process allowing residents to take the lead in determining their town's future, whether it be a broader shared vision or more specifics, such as public facilities, or services resident would like to see in their communities."
Residents from surrounding towns and areas are encouraged to provide their input, including people from Carwarp, Sunnycliffs, Karadoc and Cardross.
The first in a series of in-person consultation sessions will be held on Sunday 4 December at the Red Cliffs Market between 9am and 1pm.
