The refurbishment of Red Hill Pavilion is now complete, with the official opening ceremony held on Friday 6 September 2024.

The $3.4 million project involved extending and refurbishing the Red Hill Pavilion to better serve our community, thanks to funding by:

  • State Government (Strategic Projects Fund), $2M
  • Mornington Peninsula Shire, $1.4M.

The renovation included updating the existing change rooms, adding new home and away change rooms with amenities, creating new umpire change rooms, and providing additional storage.

These improvements are essential for accommodating the needs of our local clubs and increasing female participation in AFL and cricket.

Quote attributable to Mayor Councillor Simon Brooks:

"The revived pavilion is now more inclusive and functional. It ensures that everyone, from players to officials, has the space and resources required to perform and participate in sport comfortably."

Councillor Red Hill Ward Councillor David Gill:

"The upgrade will provide much-needed facilities, this will be welcomed by female players and also our broader sporting community. I am pleased that Council has made such a considerable contribution".
