Residents in the Redlynch Valley, Brinsmead and Freshwater are advised that annual live siren testing will take place on Saturday 10 September between 10am and 1pm.
Council has been managing issues with the sirens, which included false activations, and Saturday's testing is part of a comprehensive process to assess if those problems have been rectified.
All sirens will be sounded and tested multiple times.
This is a test only. Residents are not required to take any evacuation action.
Council does, however, encourage residents to familiarise themselves with the evacuation procedures and their individual emergency action plan.
