Shared cultures, stories, and Australia's rich diversity will be celebrated across the City of Melton this Refugee Week.

From 15-20 June, Melton City Council will host several events in collaboration with key community groups and stakeholders.

This year's theme, 'Finding Freedom: Family', will focus on the importance of family during displacement and the important role it plays in times of adversity.

Refugee Week has been observed annually across Australia since 1986.

Events in the City of Melton will engage directly with refugees, asylum seekers, local students, and service providers, aiming to foster dialogue and support within the community.
