Works to replace the Mount Waverley Library roof are underway and the upgrade of existing toilet facilities will commence Friday 5 May.
The main library building was constructed in the late 1960s and, in recent times, has been prone to roof leaks and flooding, with existing toilet facilities no longer compliant.
Alternative toilet facilities have been made available to library staff and visitors next door at Mount Waverley Youth Centre for the duration of the upgrade.
There will be changed conditions to parking nearby and some noise disruptions are expected; however, care will be taken to ensure it does not impact on regular programs held in the library.
It is expected that the library will remain open during the upgrade and that works will be completed by September 2023.
We appreciate your patience during these improvement works.
