South Australian Tourism Commission

Organisers of developing and established events across South Australia are encouraged to apply for the Regional Event Fund 2025-26 from tomorrow.

The Fund, managed by the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC), encourages the development of new and innovative regional events and aims to grow existing events, while driving visitation and boosting the regional economy.

The Regional Event Fund is open for applications from midday on Thursday 23 January until 5pm on Tuesday 18 March 2025. The 2025-26 Fund will support events staged between 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2026.

Funding is offered across two event categories: Established Event Funding and Development Event Funding. Event organisers can apply for up to three years' funding, to the value of $50,000 per year for an Established Event, and up to $20,000 per year for a Development Event.

The SATC will host a webinar within the application period to provide support to interested operators on the application process. The free, online session will be held on Wednesday 29 January.

Events supported by the Regional Event Fund include SummerVines which is currently on in Fleurieu Peninsula, as well as the upcoming A Taste of the Hills Festival in Adelaide Hills, and Bay Festival Port MacDonnell in Limestone Coast.

Minister for Tourism, Zoe Bettison said "I encourage all those planning to host an event between September 2025 and August 2026 to look into applying for the Regional Event Fund."

"This is an incredibly important initiative which helps bolster our event offerings across the state, in turn triggering potential visitors to commit to a trip and discover the best of our tourism regions," Minister Bettison said.

"The diversity of events supported each year through the South Australian Tourism Commission's Regional Event Fund perfectly demonstrates the strengths of our regions, and I look forward to seeing this continue through the next round."
