Locals are encouraged to lace up their joggers and register for the Campbelltown City Challenge Walk as it returns to the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan on Sunday 9 March.

Registrations are open for both the 6km and 11km course, with gates opening at 6.30am, before the first course commences at 8am.

Competitors can opt into the popular Colour Burst, which will shower participants in coloured powder at two different sections of the course.

"The Campbelltown City Challenge Walk continues to grow in popularity, giving participants of all ages and ability levels a chance to enjoy a day out in our natural spaces," said Mayor Darcy Lound.

"I'm thrilled to see the event continue to grow each year, and I encourage everyone to register now for what is shaping up to be another great day out for this wonderful event," Cr Lound said.

Participants can enjoy a variety of on-site health and wellness stalls, food and drink vendors and live music performances throughout the event.

All competitors will be presented with a participation medal upon completing their course and a short stage presentation will be held for placing competitors at the conclusion of the 11km course.

In-person registrations at Campbelltown Civic Centre close on Friday 28 February at 4pm and online registrations close on Wednesday 5 March at 11.59pm.
