Bass Coast Shire Council will renew the Grantville Jetty this month, to improve the safety of the structure which has deteriorated due to age and wear and tear from wave action.
Construction will start in early March and the work is expected to take around three weeks to complete, subject to favourable weather and tides and contractor availability.
While construction is underway, the jetty and boat ramp area at Grantville will be closed to the public. The nearest boat launching facilities are located at Corinella.
The works will include the use of large plant and machinery, power tools and trucks delivering materials to site. Council understands that these works may be noisy at times, and present an inconvenience to nearby residents and appreciates their patience during these times. Appropriate traffic/pedestrian measures will be in place throughout the duration of the works. The contractor will make every effort to minimise disruptions during construction.
