Renewed appeal after aggravated home invasion in Cranbourne North

Detectives from Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives are renewing their appeal for witnesses to an assault during an aggravated home invasion in Cranbourne North in February.

Investigators were told three male offenders attended a Lindenow Court address and ransacked a bedroom about 7.15pm on Monday, 1 February.

A neighbour heard an occupant scream and jumped the back fence to assist when he was confronted by the offenders.

The man was struck to the head with an unknown weapon by one of the offenders before the group fled on foot.

The 41-year-old victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while the occupants of the address were not injured.

Detectives have released CCTV footage of an offender running from the scene followed by a silver utility leaving the location, as well as FACE images of two people that may be able to assist with their investigation.

Police are investigating whether the burglary was targeted, and it remains ongoing.

Anyone who can identify the car or identify the images is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or file a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
