Simone van der Hof, Professor of Law and Digital Technologies at eLaw, and Mohammed Raiz Shaffique, Researcher and PhD candidate at eLaw, have published a report on Age Assurance for the European Commission.
Age Assurance is increasingly viewed as a useful tool for online child safety, and has been the topic of much discussion in recent times. In this report, which was prepared in collaboration with the European Schoolnet, the authors analyse the various dimensions of Age Assurance and how it should be implemented in a context specific and rights-respecting manner.
The report is published as part of the Commission's Better Internet for Kids+ strategy, which seeks to protect and further the rights of children online. Learn more about this important work on the website of the European Commission.
