Residents Eligible for 50% Rebate on Reusable Nappies, Sanitary Items

To celebrate Plastic Free July, Campbelltown residents can access a rebate of 50% on their purchase of reusable nappies and sanitary products, up to the value of $100.

The rebate aims to encourage people to reduce the amount of waste that goes into landfill by choosing more sustainable options.

To allow more residents to benefit from this incentive, this year, the rebate period has been extended to cover purchases made between 1 June and 31 July 2024.

"We're proud to offer this rebate to residents for a third year in a row," Mayor George Greiss said.

"We hope by extending the rebate to include the month of June, it will help encourage the reduction of waste going into landfill and make it more affordable for residents to switch to more sustainable products." Dr Greiss said.

The rebate will be available for the following items:

  • Nappies – any reusable nappies such as fitted nappies, all in one nappies, all in two nappies, reusable night nappies, reusable swim nappies, terry towelling / pre-fold nappies, reusable nursing products, and reusable wipes / liners.
  • Sanitary products - reusable menstrual pads and underwear, menstrual cups, reusable incontinence pads and reusable underwear.
